Privacy Policy

What this site collects, what it doesn't, and the choices you have. Effective August 15, 2026.

What we collect

MedBookHumor.com uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, how you found us, and which product links get clicked. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.

That's it. This site has no accounts, no comment forms, and no newsletter — it doesn't ask for any personal information. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP addresses, requests) for security purposes.

Cookies

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings—the site works fine either way.

Affiliate cookies: when you click a product link, Amazon sets a cookie on its own site so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases. That happens on Amazon's side and doesn't give us any information about you. More detail in our affiliate disclosure.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site route through a local redirect page (/go.html) that may open the Amazon app on mobile devices. The redirect exists to keep our affiliate attribution working—it doesn't collect, store, or transmit anything about you beyond the standard server log entry any page visit creates.

Third-party sites

Links on this site lead to external sites—primarily Amazon, plus our sister site TheUnspokenGuide.com. Each has its own privacy practices, which we don't control and aren't responsible for.

Children's privacy

This site is written for adult gift-buyers and working professionals, not children. We don't knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can browse this entire site with cookies disabled. If you're covered by the GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it—email us and we'll handle it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change—for example, if we add comments or new tools that collect data—we'll update this page and its effective date.
